In stock or made to order: which to choose
Stock units ship in days and made-to-order units are built to your layout. What that means for lead time, cost and cancelling.

Who we are
Ceta Cabins supplies practical portable and modular cabins to construction companies, civil engineering contractors, events businesses and industrial clients across the UK. Based in Baldock, Hertfordshire, we offer clearly specified cabins with current prices and availability displayed online. We believe purchasing a portable cabin should be straightforward. That is why we publish our prices, provide…
In their words
Knowing the delivery charge before we ordered saved a week of back and forth with three other suppliers.
The cabin arrived on the day we were given and the driver offloaded it straight onto the base we had prepared.
We ordered a second unit three months later and the whole thing took ten minutes.
Being able to see the spec and the price on the same page is the reason we shortlisted them at all.
Our compound is tight for access and they flagged the offload requirement before we paid rather than on the day.
Straightforward to deal with, and the invoice matched the quote to the penny.

Ceta Cabins supplies new steel portable cabins to construction sites, civil engineering compounds, yards, depots and event grounds across Great Britain. Everything here is sold outright rather than hired, and every listing carries the unit’s size, its weight and its price.
Three ranges cover most of what a working site needs. Plumbed toilet cabins arrive fitted with WC, basin, water heater, extractor and lighting, and need only mains water, drainage and power once they are in position. Modular site offices come insulated with 40mm PIR, wired to a consumer unit and heated, so they can be worked in from the day they land. Security cabins and gatehouses give an operator all-round visibility at the entrance to a compound.
All of them are built on a welded steel frame with steel-clad walls, lockable steel doors and wipe-clean internal finishes — specified to stay in service through a full site programme rather than a single season.
Most suppliers in this trade quote on enquiry. We publish the figure instead, because the size of the unit and the postcode it is going to are usually all it takes to work the cost out, and because comparing two cabins is impossible when neither shows a number. If what you need is not one of the standard sizes, the quote form is still there.
Delivery is charged by postcode zone and shown in full before you pay, never added afterwards. Most mainland postcodes are delivered free of charge; the more remote areas carry a set fee, and the delivery page lists exactly what applies where. Island postcodes are quoted separately because they travel by ferry.
Offloading is the part worth planning for. A cabin arrives on a flatbed and has to come off at your end with a forklift or telehandler — there is no crane on the lorry. The ground wants to be firm and reasonably level, and the lorry needs room to get in and turn. Two short guides cover preparing the base and what the driver needs on the day.
