In stock or made to order: which to choose

Every product on this site shows one of two stock states, and the difference is more than how long you wait.

In stock

The unit exists, in the UK, in the specification shown. Most leave within three to five working days. You get what is on the page: the sizes, the fit-out and the colour options listed in the specification table, with no changes.

If the job is starting in a fortnight, this is the column to shop in.

Made to order

The unit is built after you order it, which is why the larger sanitary blocks and the wider offices sit in this category. The advantage is that the internal layout is set before fabrication starts: where the partition goes, how many cubicles against how many urinals, which end the services come in.

Lead times run from two to six weeks depending on the unit, and each product page states its own.

The part worth reading twice

Consumer buyers normally have fourteen days to cancel an online order without giving a reason. That right does not apply to goods made to your specification. Once we start building a made-to-order unit it cannot be cancelled under those regulations, which is exactly why we confirm the layout in writing before any work begins.

It is set out in full in our returns and cancellation policy. If you are unsure which way to go, tell us the job and the date and we will say honestly which column to look in.

New stock and price changes, now and then

An occasional email when we add sizes, change prices or have units ready to move. No more than that, and you can leave at any time.
