About our security cabins
A security cabin only works if the person inside will actually sit in it. That is why every unit in this range is insulated to 40mm PIR and fitted with a convector heater as standard — an uninsulated hut is unusable in a Scottish January and the post ends up being covered from a car instead.
Glazing wraps three sides so approaching traffic is visible without leaving the cabin, and the larger gatehouses have a sliding vision panel so documents can be passed without opening the door. All glazing is laminated and the shell is steel framed and steel clad.
Sizes run from a 1.4m single-person hut through to a 2.4m square gatehouse with room for a monitor stack, a second chair for shift handover and a small welfare corner.

Which size do I need for CCTV monitoring?
The 2.2m x 1.6m and larger. Below that there is not enough depth behind the desk for a chair to turn or for a monitor bank on the rear wall.
Can two people work in one?
The 2.2m x 2.2m square are sized for two, which matters at shift handover if the gate is not to be left unmanned.
Do they come with power and lighting?
Yes, wired to an internal consumer unit with sockets, LED lighting and a convector heater. You supply the connection.
Can the glazing be positioned differently?
On the made-to-order 2.4m gatehouse, yes. Tell us how traffic approaches and we set the glazing before fabrication.
